Yahoo! launched today both the Yahoo.ro portal and the Romanian-language e-mail service.Even though Yahoo! planned to launc Yahoo.ro since 2008,the company finally managed to launch the Romanian services.
According to rotld.ro,the Yahoo.ro domain name was bought since 2001 .
The portal is similar to the ones from Turkey,Holland and Sweden and it will contain aggregated news from several sources.Yahoo already signed agreements for content with some companies such as Pro TV,Realitatea TV,Apropo.However,Yahoo.ro is a much simpler version of Yahoo.com .
Almost 90 percent of all romanians who use the Internet daily ,will also access the Yahoo homepage.The record was set in January 2010,when 8 million Internet users accessed the website .
