Yahoo , the American public corporation that provides Internet services worldwide has recently submitted a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum ,claiming rights over yahoo.tel .
As we all know Yahoo has many registered trademarks all over the world for "Yahoo " .Therefore it is more than obvious that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to Yahoo's mark .
The strange thing is why a corporation like Yahoo didn't registered the yahoo.tel before the respondent did?
Other major companies ,like Google and Apple have registered their .tel domain names when .tel launched.
Even though they will almost certainly win the case , they wouldn't have to go through this if they would have registered the domain name in time. Now the corporation will have to pay $1,500 plus other fees to obtain yahoo.tel .
