X-Factor contestant buys up talent show domain names

An X FACTOR contestant has registered many of the internet domain names associated with the stars of TV show Britain's Got Talent.

Mandy Boylett, a fitness instructor and wannabe pop star who failed to make the grade on Simon Cowell's other talent show, has registered web addresses of a handful of the most talked-about stars of Britain's Got Talent, including Susan Boyle.
But Mrs Boylett, who has set up her own website to promote her son Tomson as a child star, denies her motive is money.

After appearances in auditions for Britain's Got Talent Ms Boylett registered one website for the Scottish songstress - susan-boyle.co.uk - as well as sites for child singer Hollie Steel (holliesteel.org.uk), Welsh singer Jamie Pugh (jamiepugh.co.uk), violinist Sue Son (sueson.co.uk) and child prodigy Natalie Okri (natalieokri.co.uk). Some of the sites were registered under different Boylett family names, including her son's.
Mrs Boylett, from Cleveland, and who also runs website ShoppingTrolley.Net, insists the Susan Boyle sites are "free publicity" for her and could not understand why she would mind them.
She told The Herald: "Susan Boyle was the first one I registered the domain of, because I was watching it on the TV and I was quite moved by her performance and I quite enjoyed writing the website.
"I don't see it as cashing in because you don't make a great deal of money, I mean you are lucky to pay for the domain name.
"To be honest it is quite a lot of work to keep up the sites."
