Akanoc Solutions Inc. and Managed Solutions Group Inc. and and Steven Chen, the owner of the two companies,were accused of trademark infringement by Louis Vuitton .
The companies were also accused of not shutting off the accounts after Louis Vuitton announced them that it was a possible trademark infringement.
Moreover,it seems that "most, if not all of the websites hosted by the ISP defendants are engaged in the trafficking of counterfeit merchandise."
Andy Coombs, Louis Vuitton's counsel said in statement that this case "represents a positive contribution to existing case law and marks the first time statutory damages have been awarded against those found contributorily liable for trademark infringement."
