The 9th Circuit Court of Appleals has recently denied Verisign's rehearing of the case with the Coalition for ICANN Transparency.
Losing the case,Verisign could gain the control of .com and .net domain names.
That way,Verisign will have more competition and will have to lower the cost to register and to renew domain names .
