Twitter,has recently acquired a new domain name, twee.tt . .tt is the ccTLD for Trinidad and Tobago.
However,Twitter owns many domain names,which are not being used right now.Therefore,this new acquisition could only be just a preventive measure.
Moreover,if they will launch twee.tt as their own URL shortener,Twitter will be in direct competition with bit.ly .
Bit.ly is the URL shortener used by the most Twitter users .
