Travelocity,an online travel agency submitted a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum,claiming rghts over 15 domain names.
These 15 domain names are : rtravelocity.com, trabvelocity.com, travbelocity.com, traveklocity.com, travelkocity.com, travelocithy.com, travelociuty.com, travelociyty.com, travelocxity.com, traveloxcity.com, travelpocity.com, travrelocity.com, travwelocity.com, trsavelocity.com, ytravelocity.com .
Because the complainant holds a trademark registration for the "Travelocity.com" mark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office ,they contended that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark.
Moreover,they contended that the respondent registered and used the domain names in bad faith .
"The disputed domain names all resolve to <orbitz.com> which is a direct competitor of Complainant in the travel services industry. Complainant alleges that Respondent receives affiliate fees for each Internet user who subsequently accesses the resolving website. "
Because the respondent failed to submit a response in this proceeding and because the complainant managed to demonstrate all the elements needed,the Panel ordered that the 15 domain names be transferred from the respondent to the complainant .
