TRAFFIC New York has just announced some updates regarding the ticket prices and some other important issues .
Here is the announcement:
"2009 is going to be a record year for domain sales. There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever. That is the bi-product of times and conditions such as these. I blogged about it earlier this year. It is a FACT that has just yet to happen and to be verified. But I have enough confidence in the prediction that Ron Jackson will report that next January that I will put it out there for all to see. Isn't that how you make money in this world? By knowing how things will unfold before they actually do and betting on it?? Isn't that what we do when we buy a domain in many cases? Or even go to the supermarket and are waiting on a long line? Buy a stock?
This New York TRAFFIC show will have a lot of "Lasts" but will have even more "Firsts". What you do and when you do it will always be the most important thing no matter what the endeavor. Timing things to happen at precisely the right time is not an easy thing. But it is what we do best. As you know this is going to be a celebration of our 5th year. This Friday prices go up for TRAFFIC to $1995. This is your last call at $1795 and for the next few hours we will offer a $200 room credit at the Marriott. This offer expires at 5PM EDT tomorrow. Effectively making your price $1595 TODAY and $1995 if you wait until after tomorrow.
Speaking of the Marriott, our room block expires on Friday as well. What that means is that the rooms that are now $299, will jump to $419-$599. That is a significant increase. So take a minute, make your reservations. The hotel WILL be sold out if not already.
We have nearly 2 dozen "TRAFFIC TEST TRACK" entries. There is still time to be part of this historical event that is sure to become a fixture at future TRAFFIC shows. The panel will be announced this week along with about 90% of the rest of the schedule. Finishing touches to be complete by the end of next week. Presenters will be announced on October 9th. So folks, since we have nothing to sell all of our energy is focused on getting the timing right. Timing is everything. Speaking of times, this will be the last time that two MAJOR domain auctions (RickLatona.com and Moniker.com) will happen at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. This will be the last time that Howard and I do a show outside of the Annual Florida Show (which we will be announcing in New York). In January we will be handing off 5 of the 6 shows to Rick Latona and his team. They have new ideas, with the same common vision that Howard and I have had. It will bring TRAFFIC to every continent and all corners of the world in the coming years.
So this is the end of an era and the start of a new one. The intersection of history is here once again. It's worth being a part of. We're gonna have a celebration and once again we are going to move everyone reading this to a higher and more rewarding level."
