In August 2008 Sedo introduced a new Offer Details Page with some innovative new features for buyers and sellers. These features included a clearer page layout with useful information about the seller and their domain in the “Meet the Seller” section. They were also designed to bring more transparency to the marketplace and help the parties negotiate effectively. Since the launch we’ve reviewed performance and received lots of feedback from our members that has helped us make the Offer Details Page even better.
A change to the
Activity Index is that it now includes a new image and data for up to a year of transactions, which will improve most members’ Activity Index level. Remember, the Activity Index is not a ranking system. Rather it’s a way for other members to gauge the seller’s sales activity in the past twelve months in Sedo’s marketplace.
The link to analyze a domain’s search engine rankings was returned to the Offer page within the Domain Statistics section and has been renamed to “Ranking Report.” It had previously been removed while our partner UrlTrends was updating their offerings. By clicking the link you can view the domain’s search engine ranking, Alexa ranking, and number of incoming links. Additionally, due to customer requests and because the listing age doesn’t necessarily correlate with a domain’s value, the date a domain was added to a member’s account will no longer be listed on the offer page. By providing our members with clear, easily accessible information about a domain name and its seller on one page we hope to make purchasing decisions even easier in the future.
