After S9.com was sold for $400,000 in 2010 and became Flippa’s biggest officially reported sale ever ,the domain name is back up for auction .
Strange or not,who bought the domain name ,bought it for $400,000 and now the bid start is $150,000 . The seller says that the current owners have not had the time to develop the website .However, after buying a domain name for $400,000 you don't sell it in less than year for $150,000 .
Description
"The custom CMS was developed to manage the site easily. The CMS auto detects bios that have high link counts and tracks revisions. It's easy to reassign a member to a different privilege level and define new privileges based on strategic needs. This is a easy site to maintain overall.
I ordered a new design and logo for s9.com a few months ago. The winner will receive all creatives ordered for the site. My goal was to implement a Wordpress Network (formerly Wordpress MU) site as a subdomain and allow users to link their bios to a dedicate blog. i.e., biographies.s9.com/thomas-jefferson.
This website is currently hosted on a dedicated server at a major data center in the US. The winner may assume the server, or I will personally assist in transitioning the site to a host of your choice. Additionally, I will provide support on the site for 1 month."
The website has over 130,000 unique visits per month .
