There are now more than three million active .RU domain names,
according to statistics on the Coordination Center for TLD .RU, the .RU
registry website.
The growth in .RU registrations in recent years has been particularly impressive. Active registrations have increased by 271,506 (2006), 439,499 (2007), 702,042 (2008) and 687,679 (2009). In 2010, registrations have increased by 468,350 to 3,015,806 as of 4 October, 2010.
