Predictions for 2012 : Domain Name Industry won't change very much next year

Even though we entered 2011 with much trepidation about what was awaiting us in this year,it turned out 2011 was a good year for the domain name industry .

If in 2010 we saw Sex.com selling for $13 million and Slots.com selling for $5.5 million, this year, the most expensive domain name was Social.com,sold for $2.6 million .

As for the next year, many agree that the domain name industry won't change very much. There will be some record domain name sales, but not like the ones we saw in 2010 .

Considering that the worldwide economy is still raising concerns and many people think that in 2012 will be worse than in 2011,the domain name industry will most probably be described in one word : stagnation .

Many of the domain names sold in 2012 will be three or four word keywords domain names.
