Pool, which teamed up with Quintaris started to offer pre-orders for non-existent domain names.
It's very strange how Pool.com decided to accept pre-orders for new TLDs ,such as .xxx and .web.It is said that the idea behind the service is to figure out how much demand there is for each individual top level domain name. The service accepts pre-orders for second level domain names on about 50 top level domain names that it thinks it will be pursued.
"A pre-order is similar to a backorder in that it represents a commitment to purchase the domain in the event Pool.com is successful at securing the domain on your behalf."
This language certainly seems to indicate some sort of payment if Pool obtain the domain name in your behalf. All in all ,if you ask me I advise you not to rush into anything .Let's wait and see what happens next.
