Even though the new owner wished to remain anonymous,rumors say that he is well known poker player .
“I was in the middle of a high-stakes private poker tournament in a conference with some of the world’s biggest players. When entering the final hand, I vowed that I would take whatever winnings I received and put them toward the purchase of poker.ca. I never dreamed I would win at that point, but I did, and now here we are.”,said the new owner in a interview .
