Bob Parson,Godaddy CEO was awarded by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) with the "First-Ever Scummiest CEO of the Year Award".Moreover,PETA announced that it will close its GoDaddy account .
That means that GoDaddy will lose a few hundred domain name registrations from PETA.
PETA made the announcements after GoDaddy CEO,Bob Parson posted a video of him shooting an elephant in Zimbawe.The video also showed that the villagers were wearing GoDaddy orange baseball caps.After he shot the elephant,Bob Parson stood over its corpse.
According to TMZ,PETA sent Bob Parson a letter in which they "presenting him with its “first-ever Scummiest CEO of the Year Award (Your certificate is on the way)”.
On the other hand,Bob Parson told TMZ : “I understand PETA has an agenda, but I refuse to go along with their extortion-style practice.”
"Instead of acting like the Great White Hope" for African villagers perhaps you will consider your money to fund humane solutions to human/elephant conflicts.Until that time,PETA will be ending our account with GoDaddy,taking our domain-name business elsewhere,and encouraging others to do the same," said PETA in the letter sent to Bob Parson.
