"With the opening of the ICANN new TLDs process less than 45 days away, OpenRegistry is proud to welcome Ms Eugénie Chaumont who brings her decade of experience in the corporate domain name space to the Company.
In her capacity as Business Development Manager, Eugénie Chaumont, 33, will lead the company’s efforts into French speaking markets. Jean-Christophe Vignes, OpenRegistry CEO, comments: “as the deadline to submit applications for new Top Level Domains gets closer, more and more corporations seek a full fledged provider that focus on their specific needs. With her background and expertise, Eugénie is the right person to answer brands' questions and guide them through many successful ICANN applications”.
Ms Chaumont has spent several years with a major European IP firm where, having created the Internet department, she was in charge of brand protection in the domain name space and helped her corporate clients devise the right strategy to benefit from recent extensions such as .FR, .EU, and more recently ICM’s .XXX. Eugénie adds: “after 10 years working with major corporations, I can confirm that expectations are high when it comes to new Internet extensions. The question is no longer whether brands should apply but rather how to make sure their audacity is rewarded in the long term with the right Registry provider. I am thrilled to add my expertise to OpenRegistry’s whose flexible system and corporate-specific features are already favoured by many trademark holders”.
Today OpenRegistry also announces the creation of a dedicated subsidiary based in Paris, France. “Home to some of the world’s most prestigious brands the French-speaking market is a tremendous opportunity for new Internet extensions” explains Jean-Christophe Vignes “with this new implementation, we are able to address the needs of even more companies still looking for the right French-speaking partner who is solely dedicated to new TLDs and operates in their neighbourhood and on the same time zone”. Co-founded by the former technical team of the .EU extension, OpenRegistry’s next generation system is used by Corporations, Communities and Generic-purpose domains."
