One year ago Afnic,the non-profit organization which is in charge of the administrative and technical management of the .fr ,set up a procedure (PREDEC) for obvious breaches of the stipulations of the  decree of 6 th February 2007.

It seems that the PREDEC procedure is a big hit until now.There were filed 92 claims with the .fr registry,with 64 rulings.The procedure has become standard practice in legal firms and intellectual property consultancies and has even taken hold as an integral part of the French legal scene in the same way as other ADR proceedings.
From the 92 claims AFNIC received,75 was judged to be admissible,64 rulings have been delivered by the PREDEC Committee, including 40 domain name transfers accepted by AFNIC (11 pending) against 24 rejections and 4rulings concerning the same domain name holder, are currently on appeal.
