According to a post from The Atlantic Wire ,the man who offered to sell the domain name to Occupy Wall Street offered to sell it for $10,000.
"After many phone calls and negotiations with the current owner of the domain ,we have settled on a price of $8,000 .While this may seem like a large number to some,it is actually extremely reasonable considering the traffic that such a domain could generate and the amount of donations income that is sure to follow. In other words, this site will pay for itself in no time,"said the groups in the draft proposal .
Occupy Wall Street organizers said that is out of question for the time being to buy Occupy.com .However,it is possible to purchase the domain name later if the group will raise more funds .
