Nominet has recently suspended a number of .uk domain names selling medicines illegally .
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the Police Central e-Crime Unit alerted Nominet to some websites that were selling unauthorised or counterfeit medicines,as part of the "Operation Pangea IV",co-ordinated by Interpol ."The domain name industry has taken responsible action to protect consumers and demonstrated our commitment to ensuring .uk remains a trusted space for all," said Lesley Cowley,Nominet CEO .
