Nominet introduced multi-year registration periods

Nominet ,the company behind .uk domain,changed today the rules and the prices they charge to registrars for multi-year registrations.


From now on,registrants can register domains for between one and ten years if this service will be offered by their registrar.

Under the new multi-year registration options,single year registrations are more expensive :  £3.50 + VAT,while for 2+ years bought together in a single operation will cost registrants £2.50 + VAT per year.These rules are only available for registrations through registrars that are Nominet members.

Non-members will have the same rules as before,meaning that they will be able to register and renew domain names for the default 2-year period.
