NIC Chile Announces New Transfer Blocking Service

E-mail Print
With the purpose of facilitating the management of a registrant’s portfolio of domains, NIC Chile have implemented a new service that allows them to block the transfer of a .cl domain name.
Through the request of “Transfer Blocking”, the owner of a domain name will be able to prevent the change of registrant, for which he/she will need to request an authorisation code.

Likewise, through a request of unblocking, the restriction can be removed and a transfer allowed. This can be done once the person requesting this shows proof of identity. Without this the petition will not be admitted.

The original of this NIC Chile announcement is available in Spanish from nic.cl/anuncios/2008-12-16.html.

To register your .cl domain name, check out EuroDNS here. David Goldstein
