TRAFFIC offers FREE Accommodation

traffic2.gif I just received an email from Rick Schwartz regarding TRAFFIC Orland in May 20-24. As well as encouraging us all to attend the conference TRAFFIC is offering free accommodation for all new attendees.

The free accommodation deal means that new attendees will be saving $269 per night and have the opportunity to stay in a premier resort. The temptation for new domain owners to come out of the woodwork will almost be irresistible.

The offer is also open to some direct exploitation. For example , if you have a friend that has never been to TRAFFIC then you could have them sign-up and then share their room. Obviously Rick and Howard have thought this through and figured that having two people attend is well worth giving the accommodation away.

Another change at TRAFFIC was a recent survey that Rick conducted where he was genuinely interested in receiving feedback from attendees on how the conference could be improved. Speaking from experience, it’s often pretty tough receiving some answers to surveys like this but in the end it will be worth while. I’m sure that Rick will publish the results of the survey on his blog or on the targetedtraffic forum.

Are these changes at TRAFFIC the results of competition? I think that competition has definitely caused some introspection. What I believe is more likely the reason for the changes is that a number of attendees have made suggestions in a professional manner rather. I personally have found that both Rick and Howard (and their wives) are receptive to suggestions on improving TRAFFIC as long as it’s done in a constructive manner.

I know that I will be in Orlando and looking for some accommodation and wishing I had free accommodation……sigh…… See you all there!
