world_arrows_clipart_110x75.jpgVia Wired :   "Two security researchers have demonstrated a new technique to stealthily intercept internet traffic on a scale previously presumed to be unavailable to anyone outside of intelligence agencies like the National Security Agency.

The tactic exploits the internet routing protocol BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) to let an attacker surreptitiously monitor unencrypted internet traffic anywhere in the world, and even modify it before it reaches its destination.

sdi_logo_110x75.jpgSpecialty Domains Inc. has initiated the process of selling its portfolio of 1,050 Internet domain names in response to its founder's medical condition. David Pierpoint, the company's founder, is seeking prospective buyers of the domain name portfolio that targets the dental, legal, medical, and real estate industries.

Six months ago he began building a network of social-media based marketing websites for attorneys, dentists, doctors, and real estate professionals. Now, facing surgery and radiation therapy to treat a reoccurrence of a rare tumor, business owner David Pierpoint has begun contacting prospective buyers of the company's portfolio that includes 1,000 Internet domain names.

dnjournal_logo_110x75.jpgThe new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com and the usual summer doldrums were sent packing again as a quartet of huge six-figure sales led another banner outing for the domain aftermarket. Two of those transactions rank among the ten biggest sales of the year, weighing in at $800,000 and $579,900 respectively. The next two were pretty impressive as well at $300,000 and $220,000. Things were rocking among the Global Contenders as well as that category (for non .com global TLDs) saw three of the year’s ten biggest GC sales close in the past week. The country codes completed the trifecta by placing three names on the all extension Top 20 chart, led by an $18,000 .tv domain. You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.html

traffic_down_under_110.jpgAs many of us know TRAFFIC DownUnder is being run by the team at Fabulous . The first thing that I would like to mention is that not all Australians work for Fabulous and since I'm in the "not all" category I'll do my best to provide you with an unbiased news piece rather than another press release about another conference that you just have to attend.

For a start, I would like to say that you just have to attend this conference. It's going to completely blow you away with the quality of the sessions, networking opportunities and more importantly experiencing magnificent Australia and the stunning scenery (two legged included).
