Since March 9th, 2008, the .LT domain name is now accessible using the IPv6 protocol. This was one of the .lt domain registry DNS service infrastructure upgrade plans and facilitates access to internet users and internet service providers who are using or want to start using the IP version 6 protocol. After successfully launching the new service, the .LT domain DNS IPv6 servers have been seeing steadily increasing DNS query traffic. This proves that demand for the new service is real.
