Lut Goedhuys joins the DNS BE management team as Marketing & Communication Manager. This completes the DNS BE team again, making it fully primed to fulfil the mission of the not-for-profit organisation.
In 1987, Lut Goedhuys spent a year as an exchange student in Vermont, USA, subsequently obtaining her diploma in communication management at the Catholic College in Mechelen.
After graduating, she spent her first few years working for a number of TV production houses, where she was a coordinator on both fiction and non-fiction productions.
After that, Lut worked at Music Hall, where in addition to overall project management she was also responsible for the marketing and advertising of a wide variety of events. From then onwards she was bitten by the advertising bug and soon afterwards, Lut began working as Account Manager for the Antwerp advertising agency LDV Bates.
At LDV, she learned the ropes in a trade that she was able to use subsequently as Marketing Communication Manager for Microsoft BeLux. During her 5 years with Microsoft, Lut was first responsible for marketing communications to the Developer Audience and later worked on the launch of Windows Vista and Office 2010 to the Consumer Audience.
Finally, before joining DNS BE, Lut Goedhuys was Account Director at the Leuven communication agency Boondoggle. The experience she gained at Microsoft and in ad agencies has provided the perfect foundation for carrying out the role of Marketing & Communication Manager at DNS BE.
In the future, DNS BE will be communicating more in line with its mission as a non-profit organisation, both to its own network of registrars, and to existing or potential domain name holders.
