The Coordination Center for TLD RU is no longer an accredited registrar and will no longer provide services with regard to domain name .RU .
The announcement was made by the Coordination Center for TLD RU on August 15,2011 .You can read the announcement after the jump :
"On 15 August 2011, NET LLC voluntarily relinquished the right of accredited registrar and is no loner providing services with regard to second-level domain names registration in domain .RU.
Maintenance of data on domain names registered with “NET” LLC will be exercised by the Coordination Center in compliance with the Terms and Conditions, effective from 15 August 2011. During the period of data maintenance by the CC’s, all actions related to domain names will be subject to restrictions set forth by the procedures.
Administrators of domain names whose data will be maintained by the CC may reassign the right of support to any accredited registrar. All administrators of domain names registered with “NET” LLC will receive written notifications with the list of actions needed to reassign the support of their domain names data to another registrar. "
