As of today there are more than 500,000 .XXX domain name pre-registered.Before ICANN approved the new .XXX TLD,there were only 200,000 .XXX pre-reservations .
Pre-registration has been underway for some months now.However,the ICM Registry started to see the real interest in .XXX only after ICANN approved the new TLD .Therefore,after ICANN announced its decision,there were about 230,000 .XXX pre-registrations in the first 24 hours and 300,000 .XXX pre-registrations in the three days following approval.
The pre-registration is available for now only for those who are the registered holders of an adult website created before 1 February,2010.Those who own an adult website can reserve their corresponding names in .XXX .
