In less than a week since .рф was opened for general registration,more than 500,000 .рф domain names have been registered.According to the Coordination Center for .рф,a total of 508,710 .рф domain names have been registered so far.
However,Veni Markovski,the one who represent ICANN in Russia said that there are about 4,023 words that are not allowed for registration.Even so,people still find ways to register them.
In order to register a .рф domain you have to be a Russian citizen or legal Russian entity. This is a big step for Russia.In order to use the Internet,Russian users had to type in Latin characters.However,from now on Russian users can use the Internet easier,using their Cyrillic language.
The registration of .рф domain names has seen a continual rise.In less than six hours .РФ passed 200,000 domain registration .
