1.3 million websites have been closed down in China last year .This means that here were 41 percent fewer websites in China at the end of last year than in 2009 .
This might have happened because Chinese officials have tightened regulations on the Internet in recent years .
However,despite the declining number of sites,the number of webpages had a 79 percent increase on the previous year .
