Microsoft Hewlett Packard Deal To Boost Microsoft's Search Engine

SEATTLE - The Associated Press is reporting that in a deal was reached on Monday between Microsoft and HP, where Microsoft's Internet Search Engine will become the default search program on all personal computers sold in the United States and Canada by Hewlett-Packard, the world's largest manufacturer of personal PCs. Microsoft's search engine ranks a distant third after Google and Yahoo and this agreement is designed to help Microsoft get its sponsored links in front of more users starting January, 2009.
