An Australia is terrorized with deaths threats for about two weeks after he had exposed fraudulent practices in the domain name industry .
Even though Michael Gilmour,the man terrorized with death threats seeked help in Victoria Police and the Australian Federal Police,no one wanted to help him.CERT Australia gave him a hope when the computer security organization decided to look into the matter .
According to Warrenadvocate.com.au , Michael Gilmour is a veteran in the internet industry.He was the vice-chairman of the Internet Industry Association and is running a company called Park Logic .
He wrote about the fraudulent practices in the domain name industry on his blog and after that he started receiving death threats.Moreover,the attackers knocked all of his websites offline .
"I wrote about this and someone decided to take exception and they fired off a DDoS attack against my blog which took it down; they then fired off a DDoS attack against my company's website, then moved back to michaelgilmour.com which points to my blog and I've been under DDoS attack for the last two weeks," said Michael Gilmour.
Michael Gilmour wrote on his blog a letter to the DDOS attacker,saying :
"Here is what I'm now offering you. A chance at redemption. Stop your activities and learn to be a real upright and honest domainer. Apologise to me and anyone else that you have DDOSed and be welcomed into the Domaining community as a person that has made some bad decisions and has since changed their ways. My door is always open and I would be happy to have an open conversation with you."
