MetaCert announced recently that they have partnered with the ICM Registry for content labelling.
This means that every .xxx domain name will be classified by MetaCert.Then,the company will give consumers information about what type of content a site provides.
Internet users will have the possibility to decide whether or not to visit a site before clicking the look.
"Consumers should be provided with tools that allow them to know more information about the content and its suitability before visiting a site. Every desktop computer, game console and mobile device with access to the web should provide consumers with more information about content." said JP Rangaswami, Chief Scientist at salesforce.com and Chairman of MetaCert.
"MetaCert’s technology helps us to create a clearly defined web address for adult entertainment, out of the reach of minors and as free as possible from fraud or malicious computer viruses." added Stuart Lawley,CEO of ICM Registry .
