Daimler AG the world's thirteenth largest car manufacturer as well as the largest truck manufacturer in the world,submitted a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum requesting the domain name wwwmercedes-benz.com to be transferred to the company.
The company contends that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark.Moreover,it seems that the respondent registered and used the domain name in bad faith.The disputed domain name resolves to a website,on which the respondent is linking to other websites which compete with Daimler products and services.
Because the respondent failed to submit a response and for all the foregoing reasons the Panel decided that the disputed domain name,wwwmercedes-benz.com to be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
