Yesterday, a case was filed in the Nevada District Court by Wine and Dine Corporation suing Marchex for $250 Million.
The cause of action is for trademark infringement. Marchex owns the domain WineAndDine.com. The plaintiff appears to have a trademark for Wine & Dine.
It will be an interesting case to watch, given how generic the domain name is. It is also interesting that the plaintiff decided to proceed via a court case rather than using the UDRP.
