Another city gTLD proposal has officially been launched with A Domain for London announcing they will join the fray in planning to apply for a .LONDON gTLD under ICANN's planned gTLD application process.
.LONDON joins other city gTLD proposals such as .BERLIN, .HAMBURG, .QUEBEC, .NYC (New York City) and .PARIS.The proposal seeks to be a community-based effort with a high profile and integrity that needs no government support. The not-for-profit organisation behind the gTLD also plans to donate any surpluses once costs have been recouped to public initiatives and good causes that benefit the people of London.
The proposal has the support domain name registrars Com Laude.
