Interlink has launched world's first contest on ICANN's new gTLDs program

Japanese ISP Interlink has announced in Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers' (ICANN) 35th meeting that they are launching World Domain Cup www.WorldDomainCup.com  on June 24th.

In this contest, Interlink accepts ideas for new generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) name from Internet users all over the world.
The contest winner will receive prize of US $10,000, and Interlink would apply to ICANN for gTLD with contest winning name. For example, if the winning name is "James", Interlink will apply for ".James" in order for the name to be able to use on Internet as ".com". In this case, URL such as http://www.abc.james would be able to register by Internet users.
