NIC Mexico,announced that domain name registrations directly under .MX will be open to all public from September 1st,according to .MX Reopening Process.

As it was opportunely informed,the .MX reopening is being released in phases,through an ordered process which gave priority to the current holders of .MX domains under current available classifications: .COM.MX ,.NET.MX ,.ORG.MX ,.EDU.MX  OD .GOB.MX .
The process is divided in 3 stages :

-Pre-Registration Period -Ended July 31st,2009
-Quiet Period - Ended August 31st,2009
-Initial Registration Period - Starts September 1st,2009

During this period,the domain name registration directly under .MX will be open to all public.Domain names will be assigned in the same ordered the applications are received by Registry .MX .
Anyone interested in registering a domain name directly under .MX . can participate .
If the domain name is available at the time when the application request is received,the domain will be immediately registered after completing the registration process.The registration period will be of one year only.Also an Special Pricing Model will be used ,which will be published in detail prior to the Initial Registration Period.
 The Initial Registration Period will last 2 months,from September 1st to October 31st 2009.
