In October 2008 ICANN appointed JAS Communications as the consultants for the independent review of the SSAC, the Security and Stability Advisory Committee.The role of the Committee is to advise the ICANN community and Board on matters relating to the security and integrity of the Internet's naming and address allocation systems.
