On 25 July 2011, the nomination period closed for the ALAC Representative from the North American region, an interim vacancy to be filled this year by the 2011 Nominating Committee (NomCom).
The 2011 NomCom received 15 Statements of Interest from North American citizens.
The 2011 NomCom will collect information and evaluate the candidates through mid-August 2011. Due diligence check of the selected candidate will follow.
The successful candidate will be announced as soon as possible thereafter and will take up the position immediately.
