An IDN Table is a table listing all those characters that a particular TLD registry supports. If one or more of these characters are considered a variant this is indicated next to that/those characters. It is also indicated which character a particular character is a variant to. The IDN table usually holds characters representing a specific language but can also be characters from a specific script. With the updated draft document, ICANN is seeking community input about the approach to development of the IDN tables. The comment period for the Draft Implementation Plan has been extended to 7 January 2009 to allow for additional community review of the updated draft document.
