Hyderabad announced its intention to host the Internet Corporation for Assigned Name and Numbers (ICANN) Conference ,to be held in 2013 in the Asia-Pacific region .
"Hyderabad, which is already known as the convention capital of India and a unique destination in comparison to others, is determined and willing to make a sincere attempt to secure the bid to organize the event," said an official .The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is currently seeking locations for their three meetings to be held in 2013 from the following regions : Asia Pacific,Africa and Latin America .
The conference from the Asia-Pacific region will be held between April 7-12 ,2013, the conference from Africa will be held between July 14-19,2013 and the one held in Latin America will be held between November 17-22,2013 .
