The WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center announced that a ruling has been issued in favor of Gucci,regarding rights to the Internet domain name GucciCollection.com.
Gucci filed a complaint a while ago with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center asserting legal rights over the disputed domain name.Gucci owns many trademark registrations all over the world for the "Gucci" mark.Therefore,they contended the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark.
Moreover,Gucci contended the respondent registered and used the disputed domain name in bad faith.
"...the disputed domain name is being used to offer for sale counterfeit Gucci products via the Website."
The Panel ordered the disputed domain name to be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
