Google wins Googletemp.com domain name in arbitration

The National Arbitration Forum announced that a ruling has been issued in favor of Google regarding rights to the Internet domain name Googletemp.com .Google, represented in this case by Meredith M. Pavia submitted a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum, asserting legal rights to the disputed domain name. Google owns many trademark registrations for the "Google" mark. Therefore, they contended that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark.
Moreover, they contended that the respondent registered and used the disputed domain name in bad faith.
"Respondent’s disputed domain name fails to resolve to an active website.Respondent’s failure to make an active use of the disputed domain name is evidence that Respondent registered and used the disputed domain name in bad faith."
Because the complainant manged to demonstrate all the elements needed and because the respondent failed to submit a response in this proceeding ,the Panel ordered the disputed domain name be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
