ccTLDs turned in another strong showing this week, taking the top spot on our latest all extension leader board and six of the 20 positions overall.
Texel.de (German country code) claimed the pole position after changing hands for €39,500 ($56,090) at Sedo.com.
Sedo went on to sweep the top three spots and pile up a dozen chart entries to lead all venues.
Their roster includes a matching .com set, AssuranceVie.com and Assurance-Vie.com ("life insurance" in French) that went for $43,500 each to share the #2 slot. Sedo also accounted for four of the six country code sales on the Big Board. The other two went to RickLatona.com who scored with #8 Blog.eu (European Union ccTLD) at $19,170 and #20 CheapCars.us (United States country code) at $9,230. This is the second week in a row that America's ccTLD made the all extension Top 20.
Only one non .com gTLD made the elite this week and the surprise there is that it was not a .net or a .org domain, the two extensions that normally dominate our Global Contenders category. Instead a .info carried the GC flag as #13 Bodybuilding.info went for $13,500 at Sedo.
