Monterrey, Mexico  - Looking to position Mexico’s name on the Internet through the usage of .MX domains, NIC Mexico is launching a new program for distributors, and it is also releasing tools that will allow a greater number of distributors around the world to market the .MX domains.

With this action, NIC Mexico allows .MX domain holders to have access to a wider offer of Internet-related services, allowing them to choose the supplier that is best suited for them, and that covers their needs in a greater extent. NIC Mexico continues to implement the best practices from the domains industry, now standardizing its processes with the industry at a worldwide level. For that reason, today it is launching the new site www.registry.mx for its service division to Registrars (distributors).

Furthermore, it has designed a New Accredited Registrars Program that will boost the .MX domains commercialization. The term “Registry” corresponds to the responsible entity for managing the Main Domain Names Data Base of a certain TLD (Top Level Domain). On the other hand, “Registrar” refers to the Registries distributors. Both elements are the foundation of the Registry-Registrar model used worldwide to manage and market domains.

The key to this launching is that both, the website and the commercial program, will provide technological and commercial tools and interfaces to Registrars that certainly will improve their operation experience.

Finally, it is worth to mention that NIC Mexico will continue to offer domain registration services directly to final users through NIC Mexico Registrar, the division in charge of taking care of these clients. Certainly, NIC Mexico will support each division with all its experience and infrastructure, looking toward to satisfy completely the needs of its clients.
