Has the time come to redelegate IE namespace?
Michele Neylon believes the time may have come for the current .ie
registry operator to be changed, believing that while the current
registry operator, IEDR, has improved over the last few years, it "is
probably not the best organisation to manage the ccTLD in the future."
Reasons given for a change of registry are the lack of policy
development and decisions made by the registry that have impacted
negatively on registrars and registrants, as well as ambiguous
registration rules that are open to interpretation.
