George Kirikos provides an interesting and detailed analysis of the information he gleaned from ICANN's most recent and previous IRS Form 990 disclosure.

For the year ending June 30, 200money_dollars_pictogram.jpge top five employees at ICANN earned a total of $566,292 as well as $95,499 in benefits and deferred compensation.  For the year ending June 30, 2007, the top five ICANN employees earned a total of $985,568 as well as $172,377 in benefits and deferred compensation - a staggering 74% increase from the previous year.

As well, the top five employees had expense accounts totaling $26,727 for the financial year ending June 30, 2006, whereas the following year they had expense accounts totalling $130,465.

The President and CEO of ICANN is Paul Twomey.  In this same one year period, his compensation increased from of earnings of $459,244 and benefits of $19,200 to earnings of $722,079 and benefits of $219,345.

George Kirikos calls on ICANN to control their salary expenditures and justify such large increases.
