The Russian edition of Forbes has recently won a domain name case against Landmark VIP Services.
It seems that Landmark VIP Services used the domain name ,Forbes.ru to advertise travel packages .Therefore,Forbes and Axel Springer Russia decided to sue Landmark VIP Services.
The Moscow Arbitration Court decided not only to give the disputed domain name to Forbes,but the court also awarded it $300,000 .
Grigory Punanov, chief editor of ForbesRussia.ru,said in a statement that "We fought for a long time for the legal right to use the domain name Forbes.ru. I hope the ruling will enter legal force and that our site will soon be available at that address."
The online version of the magazine launched in November at ForbesRussia.ru .
