Facebook,world's largest social network acquired the FB.com domain name .American Farm Bureau sold the internet domain name FB.com this September.However,the buyer wanted to stay anonymous.
According to the unofficial blog,All Facebook,the domain name was bought to be used internally by Facebook.Yahoo uses also a special domain name for its employees.This way Yahoo avoids confusion between employees and the hundreds of million of users.
The New York Times also wrote that Facebook bought this domain name to give users sotsseti email addresses.
According to whois records ,FB.com was first registered in 1990,20 years ago .
