EURid, the .eu top-level domain registry, will be present at the WorldHostingDays trade fair in Rust, Germany from 22 - 25 March 2011 to continue to raise the visibility of .eu domain names in the German market.
In Germany, .eu domain name registrations grew by 6% during 2010 and there are currently more than one million .eu domain names registered to German businesses, organisations and individuals. The .eu extension is ideally suited for businesses with cross-border operations by enabling companies to express the fact that they are open for business in other European Union markets. Indeed, .eu registrations increased in 26 of the 27 EU Member States during Q4 2010.
EURid is exhibiting at stand 59 where staff will be available to answer questions about .eu and the Internet security standard, Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC). .eu implemented DNSSEC in September 2010 and was one of the first of the world’s largest top-level domains to have a complete DNSSEC chain of trust.
